Thanks to Kate of The Rancher’s Wife’s Photography and Julie Livermore Photography for sending in this team approach to this BEAUTIFUL wedding! Nathan & Kimberly were married in Elk Hollow on July 21, 2012. The images are individually marked, but I’ll also point out who did what…these are two remarkable artists serving Southern Wyoming!

Here is what Julie & Kate had to say about this beautiful day… “I am overwhelmed with beautiful images from this wedding at Elk Hollow Lodge, near Saratoga, WY, so there will be two parts. The day was perfect from beginging to end, despite a thunderstorm delay! Here are images leading up to the ceremony…the radiant bride getting ready, her beautiful bridal party, the little attendants, and the groom and his men getting ready by the river. The second half of Nate and Kimberly’s big day! I loved capturing the guests’ expressions as Kimberly was escorted across the field on her horse by her dad and step-dad. The sweet little ringbearer seemed to have the longest walk, pulling the baby flowergirl in a wagon across the flower strewn aisle. After the touching ceremony, we took portraits by the river, mountains, and in the golden fields. Signs led us to the party after, where a band, sweets bar, dinner, dancing and toasting followed. I had a difficult time narrowing down photos to share…enjoy!”

Thanks to Julie Livermore Photography for sending in this beautiful engagement story from Rawlins… Cheynae & Rob met in October 2007 when Cheynae was a waitress at Sanford’s in Rawlins. The restaurant has since closed, and Cheynae & Rob moved on, but wanted to return to Rawlins and have their engagement shoot take place…”where their story began,” as Julie says. “Because they were only in town for a night, we had to deal with some frigid temps and gusting winds…just a typical late spring day in Carbon County!  In addition to some images downtown, with the Sanford’s building in the frame, we also drove out of town a bit to take advantage of the unique Wyoming scenery!”

Cheynae shared a couple of special stories about Rob’s proposal on December 27, 2011:  “Rob secretly invited my dad and his dad & stepmom to Montana (I was under the impression they were there for Christmas) and proposed in our new camper. This was a big step for us as it was our first actual “home” together!”  Rob also, without knowing, chose a very special day to propose. “Rob proposed on his grandmother’s birthday and didn’t realize it until we called his aunt to spill the good news,” Cheynae says. “She passed away from cancer a few years ago and was very near & dear to Rob’s heart. So we took that as a spiritual sign that she approved.” Cheynae adds that Rob just woke up that morning and “felt that it was right.” Chills!

Cheynae & Rob are planning their wedding date for June 7, 2014.

Thanks to Julie Livermore Photography in Rawlins for sending this awesome engagement spotlight! Derick & Jordan will be married in Rawlins on September 15, 2012. From Julie:  “This engagement session took place on a freezing…and very windy winter afternoon!! I was happy to see Baby Nash again — and it was his first time out in the cold, so we kept family pics very brief. What a cutie pie. Then we headed out into some wide open Wyoming spaces to capture the rest of the images!! Congratulations Jordan & Derick — I can’t wait for your wedding this fall!”

You know, sometimes it’s just fun to post some cool pictures that have caught our eye over here at Wyoming Weddings…I started off thinking of a theme of pictures, or some sort of unifying thread that connects all of these, and then I thought…ah, heck with it…these are just things that we LOVE. Of course, what WE love may not be what YOU love — and that’s where we want to hear from YOU! Do you have something you adore? We’d love to see it!  With that in mind, we’re launching a new weekly series, called I LOVE _____. Post on our Facebook wall, or leave us a Tweet (@wyoweddings), and say “I LOVE…” then fill in the blank, and if you have a photo to stick along with it, the better! We’d love to see an example of what you love!

Here are a few things we love…

WE LOVE…being an individual…

WEDDING SPOTLIGHT: Nicci & Joe’s Sweet Saratoga Wedding

LINK BACK TO OUR WEBSITE & FIND A WY VENDOR:  www.wyoweddings.com

Thanks to Julie Livermore Photography in Rawlins for providing our spotlight this week!  These images are so beautiful — and I have to say, I LOVE that Joe wore pink! Way to go Joe — what a beautiful color to give an extra pop to this gorgeous outdoor wedding… I’ll let Julie tell their story:

Nicci and Joe got married on August 27th, 2011 near Jack Creek Ranger Station in the Medicine Bow National Forest — about 25 miles from Saratoga, WY.  Despite the remote location, the couple had around 250 guests in attendance, some who camped nearby for the weekend.  The wedding started out to be a rustic affair in honor of the groom’s love for the great outdoors, but the bride ended up adding some elegant touches…including pink and rhinestones to make it a little more her!  Even with the complex logistics and large bridal party, the couple remained completely serene and happy…with the stunning bride doing her own hair and makeup in a cabin right before the ceremony.

To further make the day theirs — the bridal party DANCED down the asile, all the way down to the arch made by the groom for his bride.  (This is where I have to insert: AWWWW!!!) With the large group of family and friends (including their three beautiful girls) in attendance, we had to sneak out to capture some romantic images of the couple alone.  The evening wasn’t over yet, dinner and dancing (complete with DJ Michael Munari) lasted well into the evening!  It was truly amazing to see everything come together so perfect, in such a remote and breathtaking location!  More images at www.julielivermorephotography.com.

Thanks Julie! What a sweet story…I love it when couples not only bring in their own personalities, but little details for their spouse that add that little extra ‘I love you’ to the day… These images are really fun! Thanks to Nicci & Joe and Julie for letting us share this special day!

Be sure to contact us if you have a wedding spotlight — whether you’re the bride, groom, or photographer, we’d love to hear from you! Wedding or engagement — we’d love to spotlight YOU! Email us at brides@wyomingweddingsonline.com!

‘Til Next Time…I’ve been listening to “My Fair Lady” songs while posting, so I have to say…MAKE IT LOVERLY! 🙂
